I have lived in Ascot for 40 years and produced Celebration and Novelty cakes for friends, family and
others over 20 years. In Nov 2009 I started my own business – The Ascot Cake Kitchen. I now work full
time and run The Ascot Cake Kitchen as a part-time business. All my cakes are made using good
quality products (and brandy or Grand Marnier) for fruit cakes. I provide fruit, vanilla sponge or
chocolate sponge cakes for any occasions, and can also provide cakes for Vegans or Vegetarians and
those requiring Nut Free, Gluten free, Egg-free, Dairy-free or a combination of these cakes. Other
allergies catered for on request – ring for a quote.
Cup Cakes available – 4 different flavours (chocolate, orange, lemon, vanilla).
CAKE POPS now available on request. £1.75 per cake pop.
New for 2012 (March onwards)
One-to-One lessons: Beginner or intermediate classes in backing sponges, fruit cakes and cup cakes. £30 for cup cake and sponge lessons (2 hours), £60 for fruit cake, sponge and cup cakes – includes ingredients.
Cake parties at your home: Invite a few friends round for the evening and ice and decorate ready made cupcakes using various techniques. £10 per person, between 6-8 people. Price includes lesson and a pack of 4 cup cakes to take home per person and recipes. Please e-mail me for further details at (margaret@theascotcakekitchen.com). One to one lessons are still available at £30 for a 2-hour lesson, plus cost of ingredients. BEGINNER’s Sugarpaste course 2012

10am – 4.00 on Saturdays in March onwards (dates to be confirmed) at venues in either Ascot, Windsor, Egham, Bracknell or Old Windsor. £75 per student. You will be shown how to marzipan and sugarpaste a 6″ round fruit cake to a professional standard and how to decorate it using some simple methods and techniques.
